Continue to Heiligenkreuz and Mariazell, Austria’s revered Marian shrine, before heading to Salzburg to finish out our pilgrimage. Itinerary


Day 1: Monday, October 19 - Departure

Depart on overnight flights to Vienna, Austria


Day 2: Tuesday, October 20 - Vienna Arrival

Arrive at Vienna Airport and transfer to the hotel for check- in followed by a welcome dinner. Overnight in Vienna.


Day 3: Wednesday, October 21 - Vienna tour | Schönbrunn Palace

Begin with a tour of Vienna and a walk of Old Town passing the major monuments including Hofburg Palace. Then visit St. Stephen Cathedral, Austria′s most eminent Gothic edifice and see miraculous image of “the weeping Madonna”. Lunch on your own before a visit to Schönbrunn Palace and gardens of the Hapsburg Emperors. End with Mass at the Carmelite convent. Enjoy a festive Heuriger dinner in the winegrowing village of Grinzing with a tasting a “Schrammein music”. Overnight in Vienna. 


Day 4: Thursday, October 22 - Vienna | Melk Abbey

Visit Melk Abbey, crowning the rocky hill overlooking the Danube, and the best of Baroque architecture in Austria. Celebrate Mass in Abbey. Lunch on your own then enjoy a scenic river boat ride from Melk to the village of Dürnstein. Dinner and evening at leisure; overnight in Vienna.


Day 5: Friday, October 23 - Heiligenkreuz Monastery | Mariazell

Depart Vienna for Heiligenkreuz, the second oldest Cistercian monastery. Time for prayer and lunch on own, then continue through the Alpine Mountains to Mariazell, Austria’s national 13th Century Marian shrine. Celebrate Mass in the Chapel of Grace. Check-in and enjoy dinner at the hotel; overnight in Mariazell.


Day 6: Saturday, October 24 - Mariazell | Salzkammergut | Salzburg

After breakfast, check-out and depart to Mondsee, part of the Salzkammergut region with some of the most spectacular views featured in the film Sound of Music. See the Basilica of St. Michael and celebrate Mass. Continuing to St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang, offering one of the bestknown landscapes of the region. Check in and evening at leisure, dinner on own; overnight in Salzburg.


Day 7: Sunday, October 25 - Salzburg | Maria Plain Shrine

Today celebrate Mass at Maria Plain Shrine and explore Salzburg, including Mirabel Gardens, Mozart’s home (exterior views), and a gondola ride to Hohensalzburg Fortress for a bird’s-eye view of the city. Free time to explore Salzburg. Enjoy a special dinner in Schloss Leopoldskron, the primary film location of the movie. Let the waltz music transport you back in time and opportunity for a waltz lesson before dinner. Overnight in Salzburg.


Day 8: Monday, October 26 - Salzburg Free Day

This morning celebrate Mass at the 8th century Salzburg Cathedral, founded by St. Rupert. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to shop, lunch, explore, attend a classical concert, or walk along the Salzach River and take in the city’s unparalleled charm and history. Reconvene for a special Farewell dinner. Overnight in Salzburg. 


Day 9: Tuesday, October 27 - Salzburg | Munich Departure

This morning check-out and depart for the Munich Airport for your return flights home.

*This price reflects a $250 per person Early Booking Discount for deposits received before January 2, 2026 and an $140 per person Check Discount for those paying the remaining balance by check after the initial deposit.

TRAVEL PROTECTION: 

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS:

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before April 19, 2026

Final Payment: Balance due on or before July 19, 2026

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
