Ven. Jérôme Lejeune (1926-1994) was the French geneticist who transformed the practice of medicine with his discovery of the genetic cause of Down syndrome in 1958. He was a close friend and collaborator of Pope St. John Paul II who appointed him the first president of the Pontifical Academy for Life. Commemorate his life by visiting Lejeune’s tomb in Châlo-Saint-Mars and meet members of the Lejeune family who will share personal memories of their father.

ITINERARY


Day 1: Tuesday, October 20 - Depart USA

Depart the USA on independent flights to Paris, France.


Day 2: Wednesday, October 21 - Arrive in Paris
Arrive in Paris, France, and take independent transfers to the city center. Enjoy free time for lunch before the group gathers for check-in. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur, followed by a welcome dinner. Overnight in Paris.


Day 3: Thursday, October 22 - St. Denis | Miraculous Medal | St. Vincent de Paul
After breakfast, celebrate Mass at St. Denis. In the afternoon, visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal and see the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Labouré, who was given the Miraculous Medal by the Blessed Virgin Mary. Continue with a visit to the Church of St. Vincent de Paul. Dinner will be independent this evening. Overnight in Paris.


Day 4: Friday, October 23 - Saint-Severin | Île de la Cité | Saint Gervais
Following breakfast, celebrate Mass at Saint-Severin, the parish church of Dr. Jérôme Lejeune, and walk past the Lejeune family home. On the Île de la Cité, visit the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris and Sainte-Chapelle, built to house the relic of the Crown of Thorns. Continue with a tour of the Conciergerie, the prison where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were held before their execution. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch on your own in the Latin Quarter. This evening, pray Vespers at Saint Gervais before gathering for a group dinner. Overnight in Paris.


Day 5: Saturday, October 24 - Lisieux Day Trip
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Lisieux, with a possible train option to be confirmed. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Sainte Thérèse and visit sites connected to the life of St. Thérèse, including the Cathedral of St. Peter and Les Buissonnets. Spend time in prayer at the Carmel Chapel alongside the Carmelite sisters before returning to Paris. Enjoy a group dinner this evening. Overnight in Paris.


Day 6: Sunday, October 25 - Chartres
Following breakfast, depart for Chartres. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at Chartres Cathedral and enjoy a guided tour of this magnificent pilgrimage site. Lunch will be on your own before returning to Paris. Dinner this evening will be independent. Overnight in Paris.


Day 7: Monday, October 26 – Châlo-Saint-Mars
After breakfast, depart for Châlo-Saint-Mars to visit the tomb and summer home of Venerable Jérôme Lejeune. Celebrate Mass and enjoy lunch before visiting the Lejeune Foundation for a presentation on his life and legacy. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with Aude Dugast, postulator for Lejeune’s cause, pending confirmation. Return to Paris for overnight accommodations.


Day 8: Tuesday, October 27 - Departure for USA
After breakfast, check out and take independent transfers to the airport for return flights home.

*This price reflects a $250 per person Early Booking Discount for deposits received before 07/07/2026 and an $140 per person Check Discount for those paying the remaining balance by check after the initial deposit.

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS: 

Deposit: $1,500 per person due upon registration

Final Payment: Balance due on or before July 22, 2026 

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
